About the music

I used transformations of various sounds, including karinding, bamboo percussion, rice thumping and chanting, recorded by the crew whilst on location in Indonesia. Added to this were electronic, sampled and acoustic instruments played by myself, with Dan Brown (Massive Attack, Phantom Limb) on guitars.

Jungle Gremlins of Java first airs on BBC2 at 8pm, Wednesday 25 January 2012.
