SECRETS OF THE ARABIAN NIGHTS (2010) BBC

One hour documentary for BBC. Produced by Mark Fielder and directed by Lizzie White, the programme is presented by Richard E. Grant. The score features master percussionist Tim Garside on North African percussion and was recorded at Christchurch Studios Clifton. The engineer was Ian Humphries.

Richard E. Grant loved the Arabian Nights as a child. Now he embarks on a fascinating adventure to discover how these magical and exciting stories arrived in Europe 300 years ago, and how they have influenced our view of the Middle East since then.
